Paris

Paris is a dream come true. Literally every. single. thing. worked in our favour.  There’s what we’ve learned:

Walking to the grocery store after dark over a railroad station in the outskirts of Paris is a little sketchy… There is always safety in numbers?

Saint-Chappelle is literally breathtaking. You can’t find more amazing stained glass.

Notre Dame is gorgeous, definitely a must-see

Being a hunchback in front of Notre Dame is… well…. interesting

St. Regis Restaurant has the best lemon chicken any of us have ever eaten. We even had to go back again to enjoy 6 baskets of bread, 15+ pitchers of water, and 6 lemon chickens. Plus the service is amazing.

Always stick with someone who spent 3 weeks in Paris a earlier this year. She’ll know all the cute streets and best places to eat – Shout out to Sidney

The cutest shops in Paris are located on the same street as St. Regis

Most people in France speak English; don’t speak to them like children. Or laugh when someone does or you’ll be forced to order in French

Placing a lock on the Love-Lock bridge is a must

William (the coach driver) gives the best tours of Paris

If you happen to run into the same hot rugby players we met in Florence in front of the Eiffel Tower (when it’s sparkling I might add) you can rely on friends to set up the best first kiss ever. Shout out to Karli

Laundromats are a sight for sore eyes

Versailles. What even is there to say about Versailles. Every thing is amazing.

Versailles is a little windy...

Mirror selfies are only acceptable in the Hall of Mirrors

Stop at Angelina’s before you head out for the gardens and get hot chocolate and macaroons.

Renting bikes to ride around the gardens in Versailles.  No better place to try a tandem than there. Make sure that you go and see Marie Antoinette's Cottage!

The Louvre is great. So many amazing pieces of art to see

The souvenir guys won't leave you alone. Their references to lady gaga also don't inspire you to buy their stuff.

Alyssa has a great foot pop

Manda has an obsession with the moon

You feel great when your professor gives you a shout out while lecturing in the Louvre – Shout out to Karli again

The Mona Lisa is tiny

Got to take the tourist pictures

Most creperies close by 9

The top of but the Eiffel Tower is a must.

It takes a while to walk from Notre Dame to the Musee d’Orsay – plan extra time so you aren’t booking it to get there before your group leaves you

Crepes in the Latin Quarter are the best (most the time – look before you buy gross crepes when good ones are right across the street)

It is acceptable to eat 3 crepes in less than an hour

When visiting the Eiffel Tower, pretend to be the tower

Siting at the Eiffel Tower the night before you leave is the best way to end your trip
